Here are a few shots of the Soma Clarence handlebar actually on my bike with stuff. It should be noted that the grips I have here are Ergon grips which are actually a smidge longer than standard. I think these are 140mm and the standard is 130mm.
This is on a 2011 Gary Fisher Cobia. My first attempt was with the bar flipped over. I found that this was too low. I knew that just putting it in upright as a straight in replacement for the factory bar would be too high. I flipped the stem over so that it's falling instead of rising. That plus the rise in the Clarence seems to have put it exactly right.
When I purchased the Sparrow bar, the widest available was the 520mm. Since then they've made a 560mm. I did get my shifter/brake on there but not with a standard grip. It was just too short to be comfortable. I've also since then gotten a mountain bike, and I got the Clarence to go on that. (Will post pics of bar on bike soon.)
